HE HAS COME

One day Jesus talked with a woman who came to a well where He sat. She had done many wrong things and was very unhappy. When Jesus told her He could give her living water, she didn't understand that He meant everlasting life. He also told this woman all about her past life. How surprised she was that He knew so much about her!

She told Jesus that when the Messiah came, the One who would save the people from sin. He would be able to tell them everything. Then Jesus told her He was the Messiah. He was the prophecy come true!

The woman believed on the Lord Jesus. She went at once to tell her friends. They came and listed to Jesus' words. They, too, believed on Him (John:41-42). They knew that the Messiah had come.

In John 4:25-26 Jesus tells us who is the Messiah.

John 4:25 The Woman said to him, "I know that Messiah is coming" (who is called Christ). "when He comes, He will tell us all things. 26. Jesus said to her. "I who speak to you am He."
