"Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgement, but has passed from death into life."

I would have to say that if God were telling us that everlasting life began after our death (upon entering Heaven), He would have formatted it as "will have everlasting life" vs. the John 5:24 (and other verses) rendition of "has everlasting life".
