If you do not have a fear for god, you should read Proverbs 1:7

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of Knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction."

I believe to "fear" doesn't mean that you are going to live your life in hiding of the Lord. It would be useless since Jesus knows eveything you do. I believe being afraid and fearing are two different things. You shouldn't be afraid of Jesus, He is your friend and He wants you to come to him whenever you need him - He will be there for you. As for me, I can remember countless times that fearing the Lord has kept me away from trouble.

Sometimes I find myself having to make difficult deciscions. I know if I choose a decision that in my heart I know does not please God, it will separate me from Him. You see, He will never leave you. Its always us leaving him.- That's what sin does, it separates you from God. That's why its important to confess your sins to the Lord. He had promised us to forgive our sins. Having the wisdom to fear the Lord means that you will make wise decisions that will please God. If you are ever unsure or uncertain of making a tough decision, pray to Jesus to guide you. - That's what I do.
