First Baptist Church - Odessa Texas

The First Baptist Church of Odessa Texas was the first Baptist church I ever attended.

I remember once I was watching TV, and I was changing the channels on a Sunday morning when I saw the pastor preaching. I like how the preacher preached his message every morning. After several weeks, of watching I finally got courage to go and attend the church. This church was close to the downtown area.

After a year or so, I lost my job because they closed our office in Odessa and I had to move to Denver, Colorado. It’s been almost 8 years since I've been in Odessa. I visited their website, but it appears the preacher that was there during my time is Odessa is gone. According to their website the preacher's name is Byron McWilliams.

If you live in Odessa or Midland Texas, this is a church you must visit. Unfortunately I don't remember the name of the pastor, but he was a young preacher with curly hair. Very nice man. May God bless him and his family.
